Relationship Management
I am a strong relationship manager. From my time working with Financial Advisors at Morgan Stanley to advising Content Executives at Netflix to managing interns at The American Pavilion in Cannes, I know the value of building strong relationships. As a servant leader, I leverage my active listening skills to inspire others and anticipate needs.
Strategy & Data Analysis
In all of my professional experiences, I have built out my analytical and strategic skillsets. At Morgan Stanley, I implemented growth strategies to enhance the client experience. At Netflix, I analyzed content performance to inform data-driven decisions. At Sundance, I audited and tracked press coverage. As a consultant, I provide strategic solutions to complex problems.
Project Planning & Management
I am an organized and detailed project manager. My strengths include being proactive, focused and flexible, to ensure projects are successfully completed ahead of deadlines. Whether I am balancing multiple strategic projects, overseeing training curriculums, managing title performance reviews or producing my Sisters Who Watch podcast, I know how to oversee projects to completion.
Public Speaking
Embrace the journey.
Since graduation, I have spoken at several career panels and financial education seminars at my Connecticut High School; served as a host and speaker at my alma mater, Cornell University; and more recently, I have been invited to lecture at local conferences about entertainment and serve as a guest on various podcasts. Whatever the topic and whenever I speak, I am my authentic self and enthusiastically embrace the experience. Life can take us to places we never imagined so seize the moment. We all have our own unique journeys and that's what makes us special.
Media and Entertainment
Education
My media and entertainment studies started in High School and continued into college. As a Film minor, I took historical courses like Global Cinema, as well as, hands-on production courses like screenwriting. While working at Morgan Stanley, I completed the “Business of Entertainment” course at Columbia Business School. All of these educational experiences helped me broaden my industry knowledge and cultivate my passion for this space.
Film Festivals
As a student, I planned film festivals in high school and college. I even participated in the American Pavillion Film and Business Student Program at the Cannes Film Festival. Post-grad, I have sought out opportunities to stay involved in this space by volunteering at the New York Film Festival and attending the FilmGood Film and Wellness Festival. Recently, I worked at the 40th Sundance Film Festival as a Festival Coordinator, Media Monitoring and the 77th Cannes Film Festival as a Membership Director for The American Pavilion.
“Living My Best Life.” An overachieving college student has a rough day at her normally happy place--the library--and realizes that she's not living her best life after all. (2018).
Short Films
I started creating content in High School. In Broadcast Journalism and Creative Filmmaking classes, I realized I could not only enjoy stories but create my own. I made creative shorts, documentaries, and PSAs with classmates. After graduating from High School, I continued my filmmaking pursuits in college and post-grad. I’m planning to create more content soon and help other creatives bring their stories to fruition. Stay tuned.
I am a former student-athlete and avid sports fan. Growing up playing competitive basketball, volleyball, and tennis, I learned the value of working together as a Team to achieve a common goal. As a part of the Morgan Stanley Global Sports and Entertainment Team, I supported Financial Advisors who had Sports and Entertainment clients and went to the Senior Bowl where our Team led financial education sessions. Outside of work, I play fantasy sports, catch NBA and NFL games—at home and in person—and even get back on the tennis court every now and then.
Sports
Podcasting
My sister, Laura, and I recently started a podcast called “Sisters Who Watch”. We have been avid podcast listeners for a while and decided to join in on the fun. Tune in weekly to hear our hottest takes on movies, TV shows, sports, concerts, and live events. We give our diverse perspectives on diverse content! Check us out on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube and wherever you stream podcasts.
Event Planning
Building community.
I have always enjoyed entertaining and bringing people together through events. In High School, I planned various social events like our Senior Prom. My interest continued in college where I organized community service events and fundraisers. On the job, I supported recruiting events and panels. Outside of work, I entertain friends and family with vision brunches and dinner parties. Most recently, I planned my Cornell University 5-Year Reunion for over 800 classmates back in Ithaca, New York.
Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI)
I am a proud Black woman and believe diversity is one of our world’s greatest assets. I also believe in the power of empathy and mentorship. We must lift as we climb. I aim to have an inclusive lens for all of my projects and foster welcoming team environments. At Morgan Stanley, I supported both internal and external DEI initiatives by facilitating trainings about race with my colleagues and recruiting diverse students on college campuses. At Netflix, I drove inclusion initiatives across our Strategy and Content organizations by tracking the investment in content featuring underrepresented communities on service. Most recently, in my role as Membership Director for The American Pavilion, I prioritized creating flexible schedules and inclusive team bonding events for my 8 direct reports. As a servant-leader, my goal is to create an inclusive working environment where people feel inspired to collaborate and do good work.
